My Inspiration

Out of all the places I've traveled, there's nothing I've found more breathtaking than Alaska. I wake up every day, inspired, grateful and humbled.

 

From its sharp summits, unforgiving tundra, rugged terrain, to its silencing sunsets, mystic aurora, and delicate yet abundant landscapes... there's no wonder why some people spend their entire lives aspiring to experience its glory. I am so blessed to be able to share my creations, inspired by my home and the beauty that surrounds us.

My History

I always tell people, "I was born in Anchorage, but I was raised in Alaska." Every weekend our family could, we would travel around the state; camping, fishing, hiking, kayaking, four-wheeling & snowmachining... spending quality time in the great outdoors.

 

After 21 years in Anchorage and six cold and windy months in Palmer, life's journey brought me to Valdez. After 13 blessed years and the opportunities of finding my soulmate, pursuing a rewarding career in recreation management, purchasing our first home, and welcoming our feisty and fun, now seven-year-old son, we ventured back to Anchorage to be closer to family.

 

Even though Valdez is no longer "home", it will forever be in my heart, and will remain my primary inspiration for the art I create.

My Art

I dabble in many different medias and am always looking to try something new. My favorite work is freelance, but I also enjoy opportunities to create commissioned work for individuals and businesses. I am mostly self-taught in everything I do and take great pride in producing quality work.

 

My experience in graphic arts include logo and flyer design, digital marketing, painting, drawing, wood burning, ceramics, photography, and so much more. I hope to eventually establish a full-time career focused on creativity and will continue the AK Artistry journey, venturing into marketable products, like graphic tees, post cards, jewelry, and souvenirs.​
